The small rituals that make space for intimacy

Closeness does not need an elaborate date night. Start by making a little room for each other in the day you already have.

Choose an invitation you can both decline

Try a short walk, a cup of tea, or ten minutes with your phones out of reach. Ask whether your partner would enjoy it today. Keep the invitation specific and easy to turn down. A shared ritual should be something you choose together, not another task someone has to complete.

Let the conversation stay ordinary

You do not need to solve your relationship over coffee. Ask what felt good this week, what has been taking up mental space, or what would make tomorrow easier. Listen before offering a fix. If a bigger topic comes up, agree on a time to return to it when neither of you is rushing.

Leave the outcome open

A moment of connection does not have to lead to sex. Say that out loud if it helps remove pressure. At the end of the week, ask which moments you would like to repeat. Keep the parts you both enjoyed and let the rest go. The point is shared attention, not a perfect routine.
